1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Plannr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
2. Description of the Service
Plannr is a student productivity tool that helps you organize your course schedule. The app allows you to:
- Upload course syllabus documents (PDF format)
- Automatically extract key dates such as assignments, exams, quizzes, and lab deadlines
- Review and manage the extracted events
- Sync events directly to your Google Calendar
Plannr uses Google OAuth to authenticate your account and the Google Calendar API to create events on your behalf.
3. User Responsibilities
By using Plannr, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when signing in with your Google account
- Only upload syllabi and documents that you have the right to use
- Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Not attempt to misuse, disrupt, or interfere with the app or its services
- Not attempt to access other users' data or accounts
You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the events synced to your calendar.
4. Data and Third-Party Services
Plannr integrates with the following third-party services provided by Google:
- Google OAuth 2.0 for user authentication
- Google Calendar API for syncing events to your calendar
- Google Gemini API for analyzing syllabus content
By using Plannr, you acknowledge that your use of these Google services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. Plannr is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

5. No Warranty
Plannr is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The app will be available at all times or without interruption
- Syllabus parsing will be completely accurate or error-free
- All dates and events will be correctly extracted from every document
- The app will be compatible with all devices or operating systems
You acknowledge that Plannr is a student-developed project and may contain bugs or limitations.
6. Beta Access and Launch Offer
Plannr is currently distributed as a paid TestFlight beta. Your one-time payment buys access to the beta build as it exists at the time of purchase. TestFlight betas are time-limited by Apple, and we may change, pause, or end the beta at any time.
As a thank-you to beta testers, if Plannr is later released to the public as a paid app, everyone who paid for beta access will receive their first 3 months of paid service at no charge. This offer is subject to the following:
- A public launch is not guaranteed. Plannr may never leave beta, may be discontinued, or may launch only as a free product, in which case there is no paid service to which the 3 free months could apply.
- The offer applies only to the account associated with your beta payment and cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
- If a public launch happens, we will contact beta testers at the email associated with their account with instructions for claiming the free months. You must claim the offer within the window we specify.
- We may modify the mechanics of the offer (for example, how the credit is applied) as long as the total value of at least 3 months of free paid service is preserved.
Except as required by law, beta payments are non-refundable.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plannr and its developers shall not be held liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
- Missed deadlines or appointments due to incorrect or incomplete event parsing
- Errors in extracted dates, times, or event details
- Loss of data, including uploaded syllabi or calendar events
- Any issues arising from the use of third-party services (Google OAuth, Google Calendar, Google Gemini)
You are responsible for verifying that all synced events are accurate before relying on them.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to, at our sole discretion:
- Suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without cause
- Remove any content uploaded to the app
- Discontinue the app or any part of its functionality
You may stop using the app at any time. You can revoke Plannr's access to your Google account through your Google Account Permissions page.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
